League Size & Playoff Structure
12 Teams  (One Division)  Teams play each other once, and would play 2 teams twice for a total of 13 regular season games.
The first place team, and 5 wildcard teams would qualify for the playoffs. The wildcard teams would be the 5 teams with the next
best records. In round one of the playoffs, the first place team and the second place team would get a bye, and the 3rd seed would
play the 6th seed, and the 4th seed would play the 5th seed. In round two, the first place team would play the lowest seeded team
that is left, and the second place team would play the other team that is left. The winners of round 2 would play for the
championship.
Rosters and Starting Lineups
18 Man roster. Each Team Defense counts as 1 spot on your roster. There are no limits as to how many of one position that you can
have on your roster.  9 players are used in a game, with the other players on the bench for that week. A starting lineup for a game
would include:
     1   Quarter Back
     2   Running Backs
     2   Wide Receivers
     1   Tight End
1  Extra (Which can be a RB, WR, or TE.)
     1  Kicker
1  Team Defense / Special Teams
***Lineups are due before the kickoff of the first games on Sunday, except for when there is a Thursday game or a Saturday game.
For weeks that have a Thursday game, your lineup has to be in before the start of the first Thursday game in order to use any
Thursday players. Once the first Thursday game starts, all Thursday players will be locked. Teams will be able to change there lineup
before the start of the 1 o'clock games on Sunday, but will not be able to change any Thursday players. The same thing would apply
to any games that are on Saturday.
***Playoff Note:  Teams can tie during the regular season, but in the playoffs, we can't have ties, so when you submt your lineup for a
Playoff game, you will need to pick a 10th and a 11th player to use as your tie breaker players. The tie breaker players can be a
RB, WR, or TE. When you submit your lineup, you will need to list in the comment box at the bottom of your submit page with your
10th and 11th tie breaker players. You will need to list which player is your 10th player, and which is your 11th player, because if
both teams are tied with their 9 players in their lineup, then both teams would go to their 10th player as the tie breaker. If both
teams are still tied using their 10th player, then both teams would go to their 11th player as their tie breaker. If both teams are
still tied after using both their 10th and 11th players, then the team that has the highest potenial points would win the game. If a
team forgets to list their 10th and 11th players for their tie breaker players , then that team is out of luck if their game is tied and they
have to go to the tie breaker players. It is each playoff team's responsiblity to list their 10th and 11th tie breaker players. If you put in
a player as your tie breaker player, and it's not a RB, WR, or TE, then that player will not count as a tie breaker player. So if you put
a illegal player for your 10th tie breaker player, and you have a legal player for your 11th, your 10th player would not count, and your
other player still would be  counted as your 11th player, and if the other teams 10th player scores points, then you would loose.
How illegal lineups are handled.
If we have to make a correction to someone's lineup for submitting an illegal lineup, we will remove the highest point getter from the
position that has too many players. Examples, if someone submits a lineup with 4 WR's, we will remove the WR that scores the most
points. If someone were to submit a lineup with 3 RB's and 3 WR's, then we would remove the player that scores the most from
those 6 players. The same thing would apply to QB's, TE's, K's, and DEF's. It is each teams responsibility to submit a legal lineup.
How lineups are handled when a team doesn't submit a lineup.
During the regular season, if a team doesn't submit a lineup before the start of the 1:00pm games on Sunday, then the lineup that
they had the week before will be rolled over to the current week. If there was a Thursday or Saturday game, those players would not be
rolled over, because you have to submit a lineup before the start of a Thursday or Saturday game in order to use those players. This
is done because a team that doesn't submit a lineup can have a major effect on the standings. During the playoffs, a team must submit
a lineup and on time, because if  you don't submit a lineup, the lineup from the week before WILL NOT  be used, because we do not
roll over lineups during the playoffs.
Protection of Roster Players
Teams are allowed to protect up to 2 players on their roster before the draft.
All unprotected players would be available in the draft. Each player protected constitutes a draft pick.  (Example: If you protect 2
players, then your first pick would be in the third round.)
The Draft
Since the team roster limit is 18 players, the draft will have 18 rounds. The draft order would go in the order as to how the teams
finished the season before. The Superbowl winner would have the last pick of the round, and the team that did the worst would have
the first pick of the round, and the others would follow in order from the worst to the best. (Example: The six teams that don't make the
playoffs would go in the order as to how they finished in the regular season. The six playoff teams would go by how far they made it
in the playoffs. The teams that loose in the first round would get spots 7 and 8 in the draft order with the team that was lower in the
regular season standings getting spot 7 and the other team getting 8th. The 2 teams that loose in the second round would get spots
9 and 10 in the draft order with the team that was lower in the regular season standings getting spot 9 and the other team getting
10th. The winner of the Superbowl would get the 12th pick, and the team that lost in the Superbowl would get the 11th pick. )
The order of the draft from 1 to 12 would stay the same through the first 3 rounds. Round 4 would go in reverse order from 12 to 1,
and all rounds after would flip back and forth.
Tie Breakers
***First tie breaker is head to head. If the teams played each other twice and both each won a game, the tie breaker would be who
scored the most points in there head to head games. If the points scored is the same, then the tie breaker is who scored the most
points in the season.
***Multiple teams tied with the same record. The team that has the most wins among all the teams that are tied would get the tie
breaker.  (Note: Teams that play each other twice would only count 1 win or loose in there head to head count.).  If the wins between
the tied teams is the same, the tie breaker would then go to the team with the most points scored in the season.
Trades & Free Agents
***All trades and free agent pick-ups are free.  Any player not drafted would be considered a free agent and can be picked up by any
team. Any player dropped for a free agent would become a free agent available for any team to pickup.
***All free agent requests are due Thursday night by 10pm,  unless there is a Thursday game that week. In that case, your free agent
pick-up requests are due Tuesday by 10pm. All free agent pick-up requests will be reviewed Thursday or Friday depending on
whether there is a Thursday game that week. When submitting your free agent request, you need to put your requests in the order
that you  want the players, because the team with the worst record will get his first choice and then it would go to the next team with
the lowest record and so on. The free agent order for the first week would go in the draft order. The lowest team in the draft would
get his first pick and so on. Mark McDaniels will be the person who will be handling the free agent requests, so you will need to e-mail
your requests to him at freeagentsgl@yahoo.com.
***All trades are reviewed to make sure that  both teams are trading fairly. A trade can be rejected by the league commissioners if it
is found to be an illegal trade. (Example: 2 teams can't make a trade one week and then  trade the same players back to each other
the next week. This would be considered an illegal trade and would be rejected. Trades are not to be used as a way to loan players
back and forth, or to try to manipulate another team.) If a team trades a player to another team, that other team can not trade that
player back for 3 weeks.
***When making a trade, you need to e-mail your trade request to one of the commissioners for approval. The commissioner would
then e-mail the two teams with the approval or if it was rejected. If the trade is approved, the commissioner would also e-mail the
whole league informing everyone of the trade, and which commissioner approved the trade. Then the two team's rosters would be
updated.  Trades can be made up to one hour before game time. If the trade request is 12 hours or less before game time, you have
to call one of the commissioners to get it approved.  An e-mail would then need to be sent to everyone in the league informing them
of the trade and which commissioner approved the trade. A trade can be challenged if someone thinks it was an unfair trade.  The
commissioners would review the trade and take a vote as to whether or not that trade would be approved. After the commissioners
have reviewed the trade and taken a vote, the decision would be final.
***Note: When a trade is approved, and a e-mail is sent to the league informing everyone of the the trade, it should be one of the
commissioners that sends the e-mail to the league.
***Each team can trade one future draft pick away, and can aquire one future draft pick per season. (Notes: The season length for
trading future draft picks would start at the end of the draft one year, and would end at the beginning of the draft the following year.
During the draft, teams can trade draft picks from that current draft.  Once a team aquires a future draft pick, it is possible for them to
trade that future draft pick away for another future draft pick. Example: Team A trades a player to team B for their future 4th round pick.
Team A could then trade that future 4th round pick and a player to Team C for their future 3rd round pick. The point is that a team can
not have more then 19 draft picks or less then 17 draft draft picks after a trade transaction has been made.  Trading for or with future
draft picks will be watched closely by the commissioners because there is no way that we can list every possible scenrio with trading
future draft picks. When two teams agree to a trade that involves future draft picks, the commissioners will look over the trade to
make sure that the trade offer falls with in the guide lines that the commissioners have set. If you don't understand these guide lines
for trading with future draft picks, you can contact one of the commissioners, and they can explain it to you further.)
***Note:  If a team makes a trade that puts them over the roster limit, they have to drop enough players to get their roster to the legal
limit. If a team is over the roster limit, and doesn't drop enough players to get to the legal limit, the commissioner will remove the
traded player from that teams roster to get that team to the legal limit, and that player would become a free agent, available for any
team to pickup. If a team makes a trade after the free agent deadline for the week, and it puts them under the legal roster limit, they
will have to wait until the next weeks free agents in order to pickup a player to fill their roster. And the free agent pickup order would
be as usual, with the lower team getting first choice and so on.
Trade & Free Agent Deadlines
The trade deadline for the season is Wednesday of the 10th week at 10pm.  No more trades can be made after that date. The
deadline for free agent requests for the season is Tuesday or Thursday at 10pm of the 13th week of the season depending on
whether there is a Thursday game that week. Teams can not sign or drop anymore players for  the season. No free agents can be
picked up in the playoffs. Teams can trade players during the off season, but no team can pick up any free agents during the off
season.
Rule Changes
Team owners are free to give any ideas that might change a rule. In order to get a rule changed, the commissioners would look
over the idea to decide if it is something that might be a good idea , they would then decide if that idea would be put to a vote during
the current season or if it will be voted on at the next draft day. When an idea is put to a  vote, each team is allowed one vote, and it
takes 8 out of the 12 votes to get the idea passed.  At times, there may be some changes that are made by the commissioners that
are not voted on These would be situations where the commissioners would feel that a vote would not be necessary.
